What Happened On Resurrection Day? Blog/Lesson Twenty Seven / Part One

Jesus Was God's Word who spoke and created the universe.jpg

When was the war in Heaven; when Lucifer got kicked out?

Many Biblical Scholars have taught that God kicked Lucifer and his followers; 1/3 of the angels out of Heaven before the creation of Adam and Eve. But if this were the case, wouldn’t the story of Job be disannulled? In the book of Job, Lucifer was in God’s face accusing Job before God.

Job was a servant of God; probably one of the most righteous men at that time, and definitely the most wealthy in that part of the country. Job was a prophet of God, no wonder Satan wanted to trick him up and cause him trouble. And even though the Scripture says he was a perfect man, you and I know that no human being has ever been truly perfect and sinless except Jesus Christ.

Job did not know the true character of God, because he lived and wrote his book before the Life and ministry of Christ. But most scholars teach that God was trying Job by giving him his sickness and loses as his ‘trials and test from him (God). It was Satan, who tempted, tested and tried Job and who put the afflictions on him, it wasn’t God; and God did not orchestrate them, Job’s words and fear let his own hedge of protection down.

Even though the story of Job could be a subject all its own, and only partially fits this chapter, it did fit into Book One of my new series, The Truth About God, He Doesn’t Do Evil that Good May Come. Because it is commonly misrepresented in pulpits today, it is worth mentioning later in this series of lesson blogs on the “War in Heaven”. So stay with me, I have to lay a foundation first for you to understand the big picture. We learn line upon line and precept upon precept. The events of and around Calvary are the why of Calvary and proof Jesus was and is the only Messiah sent from God to save the world.

Throughout Scripture there were many things spoken of through the eyes of prophesy; that were not, or (Hadn’t happened yet); but spoken about as though they were. Isn’t this the way Faith works?

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

To explain this faith; or hope of things no yet seen, Sara believed God in her spirit and mind. Esteeming God faithful, she conceived and had the miracle; a child in her old age.

Heb 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged (esteemed) him faithful who had promised. (Parentheses are mine.)

Abraham also hoped and believed against all hope of having a child at 100 years old. God called those things that were not as though they were; and Abraham believed him.

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Rom 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

Rom 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

Rom 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Jesus said, “I say nothing except the Father tell me.”

Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

When Jesus was teaching on this earth, he spoke prophesies about the things that were going to happen around Calvary; which of course had not happened yet.

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up (on the cross) from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Parentheses are mine. Jesus said:

Joh 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Joh 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

God had to become man ‘Jesus ‘to do what the first Adam failed to do; judge the prince of this world by enforcing the Law of Sin and Death against Satan and the fallen angels.

Jesus said the Father judgeth no man, so Deity cannot judge. The ‘Son of man’ describes the humanity of Jesus.

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Rom 4:17b God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Jesus was made a quickening Spirit. This means speaking God’s will for a future event, as prophesy.

Jesus was with his disciples on the Mount of Olives when he prayed prophetic words about ‘Calvary’ which had not happened yet.

Joh 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Joh 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

His purpose on the earth was NOT finished yet, because he had to hang on the cross, and he wasn’t glorified until he arose from the dead. At his resurrection, he was crowned with glory and honor and given all power in Heaven and Earth. So When Jesus said “I saw Satan fall like lightening,” in order for the time of this event to line up with other Scriptures, Jesus had to have been speaking of Future events of Calvary, because the purpose of His coming to earth (Calvary) wasn’t fulfilled yet .

Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Heb 2:7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

After Jesus arose in power, what was ‘ so important’ for him to do first in heaven, before he came back and stayed 40 days on this earth before His final ascension to the throne of Heaven? He told Mary Magdalene, the first to see him after his resurrection, “Touch me not, I haven’t ascended to my father yet.”

Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

I believe this was the time (at Salvation; Resurrection) that the one day ‘Great War in Heaven’ took place; when Lucifer and his demons fell like lightning; never again to accuse man kind or the brethren before God.

It is our belief and findings that the book of Revelation is not in chronological order. We will look at (Rev 12: 7-10) later during these mini lessons or blogs. I believe Revelation 12 records and names the time of this battle in Heaven, and there are some very powerful things that took place in heaven on Resurrection Day between the moment Mary Magdalene saw Jesus early that morning, and late that evening when Jesus came back to Earth and appeared to his disciples in his new changed resurrected body of flesh and bone. I believe that the victorious entrance of the resurrected Jesus and all HE lead up out of tribulation or (Hell and Abraham’s Bosom), that we talked about in last week’s lesson or blog came first when Jesus left Mary at the tomb. Then after that great reunion, the WAR was on! I believe that Satan and his followers the fallen angels were looking on from a distance at this victorious multitude of souls brought up out of Hell and Abraham’s bosom, in fear of Jesus who had won victory and was given all power in Heaven and Earth. They had been going to and fro in and out of Heaven accusing the brethren (mankind) to God.
