Blog/Lesson Ten Who Is Jesus? Part Three

In order to defend our Faith in Christ today, the Truth must be revealed by the Spirit that Jesus was not just a great prophet, but was the awaited Messiah sent down from Heaven in a baby’s body conceived by the Holy Spirit in the virgin named Mary. Packed with much Scripture , this lesson reveals JESUS:

Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, (before they made love or had sexual relations) she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. [Emphasis are mine.]

Mat 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily, (or privately). [Emphasis are mine.]

Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Mat 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (Mathew 1:18-25)

The prophet Isaiah prophesied often in his writings about the coming Messiah:

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Strong’s Concordance: Emmanuel= Hebrew #6005 ; with us (is) God.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

In the above verse, Jesus the messiah is prophesied to encompass all of Deity; and His name shall be called: 1)The Father in Heaven; as The mighty God, The everlasting Father, 2) The Son is given 3) The Counselor and prince of peace which is the Holy Spirit of God. Always remember that Jesus’s Spirit and the Father Deity in Heaven were and will always be ONE and the same. The body of Jesus wasn’t sacrificed to God, but to the wrath of the Law of Sin and Death; for all mankind so we wouldn’t have to pay the sin debt (meaning eternally lost and separated from God) for our sins.

The Old Testament prophesies that those who hang on the tree is cursed; Jesus being sinless took the punishment for our sin by hanging on a tree (a wooden cross):

Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Galatians 3:13-14)

Jesus found Himself in the Old Testament and all of the prophesies about the coming Messiah were fulfilled in Him. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Strips on Jesus’s back that He would bear for our healing; these were some of my Mother’s favorite memorized verses:

Isa 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Mom was healed instantly from two different kinds of 4th stage cancer, twenty-four years apart, lived her full life out and passed from this life to the next without pain or a struggle. The test right before she passed showed no signs of cancer; at 85 she had a worn out heart/irreversible congested heart failure. She believed in the Stripes of Jesus for her healing from cancer and made the statement that she did not believe that cancer would take her life. Her testimony proved true even unto death.

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (1 Peter 2:21,22,24)

Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Luk 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:31-35)

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We are still establishing the fact that Jesus was God; God’s Word that spoke the universe into existence. Jesus is God; He and the Father are one, God in Jesus. And Jesus will always be God;

Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Joh 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Jesus was and is and is to come! The book of Revelation is an awesome vision to St. John by Jesus Christ and is a prophesy of future Victory. God’s Spirit through his church (His plan of Divine Partnership) will win over evil making God’s enemies His footstool. Only then can Jesus return for His Bride. This will be the subject of the fourth book of my new series; The Truth about God in End Time Prophesy.

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Rev 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. (Revelation 1:1-7)

The next verse is Jesus’s words that John recorded, Revelation 1:8.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Rev 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

Rev 4:9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

Rev 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou (God’s Word/ Jesus) hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Parentheses mine. Revelation 4:8-11)

The Scriptures of both the New and Old Testaments explain that Jesus Christ is the Lord. We serve ONE God; one Deity, one Spirit and one Lord. He inter-changes Himself throughout His teachings with the jobs of the Holy Spirit and of Deity the Father. At times He spoke from his humanity as the Son of man and He spoke as the Son of God from his Deity. For example: 1) Son of man, He said, “ I will pray the Father and He will send you the Holy Spirit.” 2) Son of God, from his Deity he said, “I will send the Holy Spirit to you.”

The Words of Jesus:

Joh 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Joh 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Joh 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16 And I (Son of man) will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (Parentheses are mine.)

Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:10-11, 14-17.)

Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I (Son of God or Deity same as the Father Deity)will send him unto you.

Joh 16:8 And when he (Holy Spirit) is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (Parenthesis mine.)

Joh 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Joh 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Joh 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Joh 14:20 At that day (Day of Pentecost) ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.(Parenthesis mine.)

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (John 14:18-21)

What beautiful words of Jesus! He has promised, when we receive Him as our Lord and Savior, He will never leave us comfortless , but will come to us, be in us (join to our spirit) and manifest Himself to us; teaching and revealing the Truth about God Deity to us. When we get saved, we have all of Deity living in us.

If you have already confessed your sins and repented to the Lord and invited Him into your Heart as Lord, then God wants you to pray, “Holy Spirit of God, reveal Truth to me.” He is faithful to do that which is above what we ask or think:
