Blog Thirty-Six After Salvation How Shall We Live? Part Six

The Basics of Christianity:

God created sex to be beautiful in the confines of marriage.

We just went through the Ten Commandments in the last lesson, but is that all of the instructions and rules of conduct that help bring about a healthy wellbeing for our whole person; our spirit, soul (mind, will, emotion) and body? Absolutely not; there are more things that are harmful and need to be addressed.

God created sex to be beautiful in the confines of marriage.

1) to be fruitful and have children:

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:...

2) To become one flesh for a life time, an intimacy and physical way of showing and experiencing love which is to bring security and stability to the home that raises generations of future families.

Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Our enemy, Satan likes to take what God makes beautiful and turn it upside down and bring sin and death, destruction of life to mankind. And he does it so slyly by his lies of deception and deceit. Just like Eve ate of Satan’s fruit of lies.

God was meeting with Adam and Eve daily in the Garden trying to convey to them that their enemy, Lucifer/ Satan would deceive them with His lies, but they were not to believe him. God made mankind higher than the angels and gave them dominion of the Earth and they were supposed to resist Satan lies: “God is lying to you. You won’t surely die; just believe me and not God.”

You see Lucifer wanted dominion of this Earth and all that was in it. And he knew if he could get Adam and Eve to rebel against God, they would give away their dominion to him putting the whole Earth and all mankind under the Law of Sin and Death.

When we partake of Satan’s fruit of lies, yield to his temptations and rebel against God’s commandments, God cannot protect us from destruction and death.

Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God gave us rules to keep a healthy sexual life. If they are kept: there would be no divorce because of adultery, no Venereal Diseases, nor sexual child abuse or rape that has led to murder. There would be no “lust gone wrong” sexual addictions to pornography and sexual acts that accompany porno.

It is an established scientific fact that there is a chemical released that goes to the brain of a male and a female at the highest point of sexual pleasure. This was made by God for man and wife to” become one” in spirit, soul and mind. God wanted married folks to be addicted to each other for a life time! Now wouldn’t this world be much happier place to live if God’s blueprint for family was still the norm?

Understanding this helps us see how addiction to unlawful sexual acts attach to the mind as soul ties or mental attachments. These mental ties are the reason for so much jealousy among dating sexual active people. They have no marriage license, no comment, yet have bonded mentally and emotionally.

I realize the world around our youth, from song lyrics, movies, TV and friends, all express: “Everyone has sex on a date, just use protection.” But using protection doesn’t stop the mental and emotional damage it brings to singles. With no marriage license and living across town from each other, feelings of extreme jealously and ownership damage the emotions of teens too immature to handle it.

I believe the emotional impact on teens practicing sex has been one cause which has ended in jealously, depression and some suicides. A few years ago, a girl upset with her boyfriend over another girl, opened her car door and rolled out while her ex-boyfriend in an automobile behind her watched her die as several automobiles ran over her body.

The excuse, “Everyone is doing it” doesn’t make sense. Just because someone else jumps off of a cleft, we don’t have to follow.

As a hairstylist, I have listened to girls and woman talk about these subjects:

One girl who practiced frequent sex with many partners told me with a sad tone,” I and my boyfriend have been talking about getting married, and we both wish we had waited until we were married to have sex. “My reply to her was:

“You can still be a virgin.” Her eyes bugged as she asked, “How!”

I continued, “All you have to do is repent before God and ask Jesus to come into your heart and life, for ONLY He can cleanse you of all your wrongs, and heal your body, spirit and soul (mental soul ties with previous sex partners) from any damage it has caused. He can heal and cleanse your blood from any VD’s, as though you were a virgin; because you will be in God’s eyes. He doesn’t remember your sins any more after you repent.” With an amazed look, and a sigh of relief, she gave me a smile.

This is true my friend, when God forgives he doesn’t remember it again. If it comes to your mind, it is usually your enemy accusing you in your mind to torment you with guilt. Tell him, “You are a liar, I am forgiven, and now I am covered with the righteousness of Jesus Christ, flee from me!”

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,(After Calvery) saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Jas 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

What is sex outside of marriage called? It is called fornication; all unlawful sexual wrongs, including adultery and lasciviousness are included under this one word:

Webster’s New World Dictionary: fornication= n. voluntary sexual intercourse between unmarried persons.

Just what does the Bible, our guide to life say about fornication? The Laws that we will be judged by on Judgment Day will be this same Word of God, shouldn’t we know what it says?

Joh 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Just what does the Bible say about fornication?

According to 1st Corinthians chapter 5, we are not to keep company with those who committee fornication:

1Co 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

Flee from fornication:

1Co 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

1Co 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

1Co 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

1Co 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Strong’s Concordance: Fornication= Greek #4202 harlotry (including adultery and incest) idolatry;- fornication. From #4203 to act the harlot indulge unlawful lust (to either sex) practice idolatry-fornication

1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

So when committing fornication, one is sinning against the temple or body of God. Wow, this puts a different perspective on this subject of sex outside the marriage.

Apostle Paul writes to the Galatians on these subjects:

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

To the Ephesians: After Salvation, we are to live by the Truth that Jesus taught.

Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

In the very next verses, which are a part of Paul’s same letter, he mentions again the sin of fornication, along with others sins:

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Eph 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

My heart cries for our youth today. The Bible is clear on this; how can this generation be so far from these teachings?

I believe it is because the church for a large part has been too silent on these matters and the parents today are weak and follow suit by just giving their daughters birth control pills and a shot that has deceived some girls into thinking it would keep them from getting ovarian cancer from practicing sex. Both are not healthy and would not be needed if abstinence was practiced instead.

Next week, we will cover more on the lust of the human soul; the fruit of Satan’s lies enticing our youth with the fades of becoming by-sexual, lesbian or homosexual.

No, there is no new sin known to man, but when the morals of our Christian Nation have hugely declined with the last two generations, it is evident we have let our children down.

These fades have been flaunted by media and driven by TV in their bedrooms and pornography on the internet; in their pockets available on their cell phones, as well as influenced by friends in teen group gatherings. Lord, help us help our children to grow up with Joy, Peace of mind and contentment of heart through teaching your unchanging Word of Truth. Amen
