Blog Twenty-Eight What Happened On Resurrection Day? Part Two

What Really Happened on Resurrection Day?

When was the War in Heaven/ when were Lucifer and his fallen angels kicked out?

In order for you to understand where we are in this study, you will need to read Part One of this mini-series or Blog Twenty Seven. There is no way to get the whole story of Resurrection Day in one lesson.

Before we get back to the "WAR in Heaven" when Lucifer and his fallen angels were kicked out of Heaven once and forever; no more to accuse mankind before God, I want to show you that Jesus was not a ghost type of spirit after His Resurrection. He had a new literal immortal body; because doubting Thomas felt the scares in Jesus’ hands and side.

That evening Jesus was back and appeared to his disciples except for Thomas:

Joh 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Joh 20:20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

Joh 20:24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

Eight days later, Jesus allowed doubting Thomas to touch his nail scared hands and pierced side, so he would also believe Jesus was the risen Christ.

Joh 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Jesus’s amazing new resurrected body was flesh and bone, yet He could appear in a room without opening the door.

But it is my belief that Jesus went to Heaven on that morning after leaving Mary Magdalene to do two huge events before He came back down that evening and stayed on earth for 40 more days: 1) Usher into Heaven the souls of all who received Him and came up with Him out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom. 2) Orchestrate the War in Heaven; clean out Heaven where no more could Lucifer/ Satan and his fallen angels could traffic in and out of Heaven, accusing people before God.

Lucifer created sin with the first act of rebellion based on God’s covenant of Free Will and Sowing and Reaping LOVE. He exalted himself above other angels; and was lifted up in pride, envy and jealousy. He actually wanted God’s place. His "five I wills" or desires are evident in the following verses of Isaiah.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

As you have seen throughout these lessons, Jesus came to fulfill the Old Testament. He taught from it, found himself in its prophecies, and fulfilled all the scriptures concerning him.

In the visions of Ezekiel there were two-fold meaning prophesies which included the future event when Jesus as the "Son of man" would triumph over Satan and casting him down out of Heaven. Satan was called the prince or king of Tyrus in Ezekiel Chapter 28.

Strong’s Concordance= Tyrus Hebrew #6865 from #6864 from #6696 Adversary.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Satan is our adversary our enemy. It is his goal to kill, steal, and destroy. It is his desire to take as many to hell with him that he can. His lies are like a roaring lion in our head; but through the Holy Spirit we have been given power over all the power of the enemy. It’s up to us to resist the devil. God can’t do it for us.

God had given dominion of this earth to Adam and Eve, they gave it to Lucifer when they believed His lies instead of God’s Truth; thus making Lucifer the Prince of this earth. Yes Jesus did win all power in Heaven and in earth, and then He (Jesus) gave that power over Earth to the redeemed Church which is the Body of the living God on this earth. Now we have a Divine Partnership with God to do His works (defeat evil) on this earth. Are we doing it?

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Jas 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

We must find more "Truth" by the Holy Spirit in the Word of God! The Truth of God ‘s Word is our very map and guide to the power we need to fulfill God’s purpose and usher in the Kingdom of God on this Earth. The Truth and ‘praying this Truth’ can and will bring real Revival to this lost generation. If we can become the Army God wants us to be, then we can save this generation!

Ezekiel’s vision, (Chapter 28) gives a clear description of Lucifer in Heaven before, and after he sinned; as well as a prophesy of Jesus triumphing over him(at the Resurrection) and ends with a prophesy of Satan’s last destruction in the lake of fire.

Satan knows his time of freedom on this earth is short. The way I see it, his only way of prolonging Christ’s Second Coming is to hinder the last day revival, any way he can; even to the point of confusion and fables in our Modern Theology (Study of God’s Character). Satan wants to hide himself and now accuses God to mankind, with the deception that God is in Total Control of EVERY EVENT good and bad. Thus Satan disappears from the scene while God gets the blame and the church sets paralyzed; doing nothing but waiting on God to send Jesus to come back and rescue us out so He can kill all evil people. I don’t think you can find this in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Eze 28:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

Eze 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Eze 28:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Eze 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Eze 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

This word traffic in above in verse 28:18, is speaking about Satan going to and fro in and out of Heaven accusing mankind to God. The later part of verse 18 and verse 19 prophesy of Satan’s end defeated by Jesus.

As you can see both the "I wills" in verses 16 and 17 indicate the future tense. At Salvation (Resurrection), "I (Jesus) will cast thee out of the mountain of God and "I will cast thee to the ground." This Old Testament prophesy was for Jesus as the ‘Son of man’ to fulfill, and He did just that.

As you can see here in Ezekiel, that Lucifer and his fallen angels had not yet been cast out of Heaven; but this was a job for the Son of man, Jesus Christ to do. Remember Jesus came with Truth and He said, The Father judges NO man." " But has given all judgment to the Son of man Jesus at Calvary.
