Blog Twenty-Five What Was Calvary All About? Part Seven

Our Lord Jesus Christ Triumpths!

The ONLY door to Heaven, He makes a way for all who except Him to have eternal life in the presence of God. Amen!

There will be one more Blog lesson that will finish the rest of the Easter story, and then our studies will take us to the events that took place in Heaven on Resurrection Day.

Rev 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

“Sealing a scroll was a common and important practice in Biblical times. The wills of both Emperor Vespasian and Caesar Augustus were secured with seven seals.” For such a document, a scribe would procure a long roll of parchment and begin writing. After a period of writing he would stop, roll the parchment enough to cover his words and seal the scroll at that point with wax. Then he would have sealed the scroll seven times. The scrolls would be read a section at a time, after each seal was opened.

(Opening the 7 seals would release knowledge of what was written in the book; not cause events to happen. Here in Revelation, the knowledge released had been sealed by a man called Daniel. Therefore it must be opened by a man, the Son of man, Jesus; the last Adam.)

Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

The following parenthesis is made by Keith Porter.

Rev 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? (Release Knowledge)

Rev 5:3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

Rev 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. (Jesus released the Knowledge of past, present and future events.)

(The four beast here are Seraphims; type of Angels, and the elders are those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom).

Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,(Seraphims) and in the midst of the elders,(Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom) stood a Lamb (Jesus)as it had been slain,(at Calvary) having seven horns (complete power) and seven eyes,(fullness of the Spirit) which are the seven Spirits (one Spirit in seven church ages) of God sent forth into all the earth.

Rev 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Rev 5:9 And they (Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom)sung a new song,(The Song of Moses, Rev. 15:3) saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals (Release Knowledge) thereof: for thou wast slain,(At Calvary) and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; (Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom)

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts (Seraphims) and the elders (Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom): and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ( A number no man could number).

Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb (Jesus) that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them (Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom), heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Rev 5:14 And the four beasts (Seraphims) said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders (Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom) fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, ( Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom) (Same as Rev. 5: 1-14)which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Rev 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders (Those Jesus brought out of Hell and Abraham’s Bosom)and the four beasts (Seraphims), and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? And whence came they?

Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation (Those Jesus brought out Hell and Abraham’s Bosom), and have washed their robes, (No more demonic influence) and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

The only other event that will excite all of Heaven to this level of Praise and Worship is the return of Christ for His Bride; The Second Coming of Christ we call “The Rapture.“

As exciting as this event was when all the souls from Adam and Eve came up redeemed by the shed Blood of Jesus, there was still another huge victory for Jesus and his arc angels to perform in Heaven.

The “Greatest War in Heaven” was about to take place, and no more would Satan and his fallen angels traffic in and out of Heaven accusing the brethren (people) to God which they did day and night ,as Satan did Job.

Jesus said:

Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Note: before we study what happened on Resurrection Day, I cannot omit the extra gifts God provided for His Children at Calvary, Read next week’s lesson: Not only did God give Salvation and eternal life, He provided healing for our soul (Mind, will and emotions) and our bodies.
