Blog Thirty/ Part One: After Salvation, How Then Shall We Live?

A few years ago while praying for this generation, I had a vision:

"I saw a huge map of the United States and in the middle there was a black hole that took up about a third of the map. There was what looked like a black waterfall around the whole edge (like the Niagara Falls) and it seemed to have a strong drawing power like a magnet. There were people flying through the air toward this black whole from all over the United States.

With tears even now, I tell you that I heard these words in my spirit, “Will my church save them?” As I looked closer, these people were at the edge of this huge black whole; on the verge of falling into total darkness.

What do you see in this vision? I see a very urgent and timely opportunity to save this generation. I believe, “We the church: pastors, teachers, youth leaders, layman and laywomen, parents and grandparents have failed to teach the Truth of God’s Word to them, while the world of evil infested media has brain washed them with Satan’s lie and deception, “Everybody is doing it so it is no longer considered wrong.”

Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

But who is training them?

Haven’t they given more time to the internet, TV and with their friends through texting that has directed their path in how they are to live their lives, instead of in the Healthy life style that God the creator of mankind made for them? I am not judging or condemning them, my heart goes out to them.

We live in an “acceptance and tolerant” society, with state governments changing the moral laws that have been in place since the birth of this great Nation, such as legalizing gay marriage and abortion. A great portion of the church has followed suit; which totally confuses our youth.

How will they know the Love of God and the vital importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? How will they know how to let God’s Kingdom come in and through them; if they don’t know God’s Covenants and laws that must be kept?

How will they know right from wrong without being taught the TRUTH of God’s Word?

I started writing The Basics of Christianity a few years ago as lessons for my Teen Sunday School Class. As I edit these lessons and make them into blogs, I pray you will share them and make sure your children, teens and new converts get to read and ponder them. As any subject studied, it makes more sense to start at the first and build knowledge precept upon precept, as you would read any book.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Trust the Holy Spirit to be your teacher as you read and study the Scriptures within these pages.

So how are we to live?

The answers are found in God’s Word.

The Scribes and Pharisees were about to stone the woman found in adultery, saying it was Moses law to stone her, Jesus wrote in the sand, they all left one by one, convicted by their own conscience. What do you think He wrote? (I think He could have been making a list of their sins.)

Joh 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus cleansed her from her sins, made her heart pure as though she had not sinned. Did you notice , Jesus said “Go and sin no more.”

Joh 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

When Jesus told her, “Go and sin no more;” wasn’t He telling her how to live after Salvation?

Then He said, if we follow Him, we will not walk in darkness but in His light of life.

Repentance of sins means, we will have a change of thinking, change of paradigm (where we get our information), and a definite change in life style. For most, it will be a NEW life in Christ.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

After Salvation, our righteousness that was as filthy rags is changed into the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, which God sees inside our spirit.

What if we sin again? If we do, we repent for God is merciful, just and faithful to forgive.

1Jn 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

1Jn 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1) Can we lose our Salvation?

2) What is the definition of Sin?

3) What are the sins that are named in the Bible?

Is it wrong and dangerous for Theologians and ministers to change the description of sin to fit the “modern culture” of this nation?

According to surveys, this generation is looking for Truth and authentic Christianity, which can only be the message of Christ and the first church.

You won’t want to miss the next blogs as we walk through the Scripture finding answers to the above questions.
