Blog Twenty-Three What Was Calvary All About? Part Five
The greatest Revival of souls that ever was or ever will be was about to take place.
What do you think Jesus Preached to those souls held captive; when He descended before He ascended?
If you have just found my blog web site for the first time, I suggest that you scroll down and read the previous four lessons; since this is a continued subject. This lesson takes place after Jesus gives His Spirit back to the Father Deity in Heaven, Satan takes His soul into Hades, and they lay Jesus in a tomb and seal the stone at the entrance. Jesus’s Spirit (Holy Spirit) joins back to His soul and He begins to preach to those souls held captive in Abraham’s Bosom and in Hell.
The following is my perception:
Jesus always preached the pure Word of God from the Old Testament; and the New Testament records His teachings. So He surely started with the first quotes from the prophesies of old that spoke of him; starting with Moses writings in Genesis 3:15, a prophesy about Jesus bruising the serpent, (Satan’s) head at Calvary:
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
As Jesus preached to the Hebrews in Abraham’s Bosom, I can hear Jesus quoting these verses but in first person: “I was wounded for your transgressions, I was bruised for your iniquities and the chastisement of your peace was upon me; and with my stripes you are healed!”
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Isa 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Isa 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Then he preached the Truth that He came to reveal about himself; being always with God for he was God’s Word made flesh and walked among men on this earth to reveal the Truth about God and defeat Satan, offering redemption for the whole human race all who would receive him. Most likely, He quoted his own words:
Joh 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever !
I believe Jesus quoted part of John 1: in first person with excitement, power and anointing where no one would be left questioning, as:
“In the beginning I was the Word of God that was with God and was God and all things were made by me, and without me nothing was made! In me is Life and this life is the light of men! This Light shined in darkness, but darkness didn’t comprehend it. I was in the world and the world was made by me, and the world knew me not! But as many as receive me, I give power to become the sons and daughters of God.”
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
I think that Jesus went on to say,
“I am here to reveal the Truth about God to you. God is Love, he judges no man and He loves you so much that he came to this earth in my human body to judge Satan and redeem man. I also chose (with my free will ) to give my body as the once and for all sacrifice for the sins of the world; and your sins and iniquities I will remember no more!”
1Jn 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1Jn 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1Jn 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Heb 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Heb 10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
As those in Abraham’s Bosom (Hebrews who kept the Mosaic Law) worshiped and excepted their Messiah, I believe, Jesus lead them all over to the crowd that no man could number, those in Hades, who rejected God from Adam and Eve to those who died in Noah’s flood including those up to Judas his disciple who betrayed him and died before Jesus died by self-inflected hanging.
I believe the powerful anointed voice of Jesus echoed through the corridors of the huge pit that Lucifer had made to hold the souls of men, but not for much longer:
“You don’t have to reap your own sins in this place forever. It is now finished; I have paid the ultimate price; the once and for all sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of the whole world! I will adopt you as the sons and daughters of Abraham, into my kingdom! For now there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond or free, neither male nor female for you are all one in me.” (From the Scriptures below.)
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Gal 3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Gal 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
Gal 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
And whosoever believes on me shall have ever lasting life in paradise with God! I am the only door to Heaven; I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no one gets to the Father except by me!”
Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
